Potholes nobody has reported, community services nobody has listed, wildlife nobody has logged. For this kind of map the data has to be collected, not imported. Visitors drop a pin where something is, fill in a form you designed, and submit it for review.
Every submission lands in a moderation queue, so nothing appears publicly until you approve it. Restrict where pins can be dropped, choose from 14 field types, protect the form with a CAPTCHA and rate limiting, and publish only the fields you want the world to see.

Frequently asked questions
Can I stop people submitting from outside my area?
Yes, and it's the cheapest quality filter you have. Restrict submissions to a bounding box or a polygon you draw, and everything outside is dimmed so visitors immediately see what the map is for.
Are there templates to start from?
Yes — six of them: pothole report, business listing, photo contest, event submission, site review, and sighting log. Start from the closest one and edit it rather than building a form from scratch.
Will submitted email addresses appear on the public map?
Only if you explicitly publish that field. By default nothing is public except the fields you allowlist, so you can collect a contact address for follow-up and keep it server-side — which you should, since a public map of email addresses is a harvesting target.
Can new submissions be pushed into our own systems?
Yes. Register a webhook and Mapji will POST when a submission is created, approved, rejected, or marked as spam — each event opt-in. Deliveries are signed, retried on failure, and logged. Submissions also export as CSV.
