Accounts and sign-in

Sign in with GitHub, Google or Microsoft, connect Google for Sheets sync, and see what one account can hold.

Signing in

Mapji has no passwords of its own. You sign in with an account you already have, and your Mapji account is created the first time you do.

Login with GoogleA Google account
Login with MicrosoftA Microsoft account

Sign in at app.mapji.com. If you later sign in with another of the three that uses the same email address, you land in the same Mapji account.

Visitors never need an account. Anyone can open a public map, and a password-protected map asks only for its password — see Public, unlisted and password maps.

Connecting Google for Sheets sync

Google Sheets sync reads your spreadsheet as you, so it needs a Google account with permission to read your sheets. That permission is asked for when you connect your first sheet, not when you sign in:

  • No Google account linked yet (you sign in with GitHub or Microsoft): the Google Sheets panel shows Connect Google & grant Sheets access. You choose a Google account and allow read-only access to your spreadsheets. That Google account is then linked to your Mapji account, so you can also sign in with it later. A Google account that already has its own Mapji account cannot be linked to a second one.
  • A Google account is linked (for example, you sign in with Google) but hasn't granted Sheets access: the panel shows Grant Google Sheets access, and Google asks for the same read-only access.
  • Access already granted: there is nothing to approve, and you go straight to choosing a sheet.

Either way, Mapji asks only for read-only access and never writes to your spreadsheets.

Reaching either limit shows a message asking you to delete one before you create another. Every other limit — features per map, file sizes, uploads — is on the Limits page.
